Water, Oh Wondrous H2O!

Water is the universal solvent. What does this mean? Water is called the “universal solvent” because it is capable of dissolving more substances than any other liquid. This is important to every living thing on earth. It means that wherever water goes, either through the air, the ground, or through our bodies, it takes along valuable chemicals, minerals, and nutrients.

What does this mean for our bodies? It means that water will remove any and all waste products and toxic substances from our bodies to begin with. What if we don’t drink enough water to allow the removal of these waste products and toxic substances? They build up in our bodies producing disease of one form or another.

Water also nourishes and replenishes every single cell in our body allowing the body to continually do what it does naturally- heal, repair, renew. And guess what? 75 Percent of Americans are chronically dehydrated! That doesn’t bode well for our health. In my opinion water is the most important medicine we can take. Keeping hydrated is our best defense to any disease.

I admit, I am not the most disciplined person when it comes to hydrating but I am better at it now that I have realized the benefits! I have learned through experience that upping my water intake helps resolve any “dis-ease” that I may have going on, from digestive issues to endurance to mental clarity, and the list goes on.

These days I have the habit of filling a one liter pretty glass jar in the morning and leaving it where I can see it. And I have a favorite drinking glass that I keep right beside it. I find that for me, drinking from a water bottle keeps me from taking big gulps. Using a glass I glug more down with ease, and at the end of the day I feel good, That’s hydration baby!

Walking barefoot

Let us think a bit more about energy. We feel energy because we are energy. Planet Earth has her own energy too. Every single thing does. When we feel good our energy is high-literally a higher frequency than when we feel pain or negative emotion.

Every emotion has a particular frequency range. The higher the frequency, the better we feel. Here is a visual for you:

Emotional Frequency Chart

See so when you are angry you are literally vibrating at about the 150 Hz range; whereas, when you are feeling joy you are vibrating at about the 540 Hz range. That’s why anger feels crappy and promotes disease and joy feels awesome and promotes healing!

Back to Mother Earth. The Earth behaves like a gigantic electric circuit. Its electromagnetic field surrounds and protects all living things with a natural frequency pulsation of 7.83 hertz on average — the so-called “Schumann resonance,” named after physicist Dr. Winfried Otto Schumann, who predicted it mathematically in 1952.

We can think of it like the Earth’s pulse or heartbeat. Interestingly, 7.83 hertz is also the human brain’s average alpha frequency in electroencephalography. Among the five main categories of brain waves, alpha waves, which stand in the middle of the scale, induce relaxation but not quite a meditation — a state where we begin to tap into the wealth of creativity that lies just below our conscious awareness.

So, what is interesting about this relationship? As researchers look deeper into it, it turns out that tuning our brain waves to the planet’s pulse is not only healthful (as is tuning out, unhealthful) for us but it might be connected to the beginning of life itself.

Walking barefoot “grounds” us, slows us down, draws us away from frenzied or “split” energy, brings our energy back into balance, and actually promotes healing. Take your shoes off outside, on the ground, and just stand there for a few quiet moments. Feel your body and mind start relaxing. Notice your breath slowing down. Perhaps you can even feel the stress leaving your body. Just a few minutes whenever you feel stressed or out of sorts.

You will be glad you did!
